Sending Emails

Verify the domains and email addresses you send from. Verified senders protect your reputation and ensure your campaigns reach the inbox.

How Verification Works

There are two layers to sending verification, and you'll usually set up both:

  • Domain verification — proves you own the domain by adding DNS records. This covers every address on that domain. See Domain Management for the full DNS walkthrough.
  • Sender (From) address verification — confirms a specific email address is approved to send. Only verified addresses appear in the campaign "From" picker.

Adding a Sending Domain

  1. Open Sending Domains and choose Add & Verify.
  2. Enter the domain you want to send from (for example news.yourcompany.com).
  3. Add the DNS records shown to your domain's DNS provider.
  4. Return to waveMail and verify — you'll see All DNS records verified once they propagate.

Verifying a From Address

After your domain is verified you can confirm individual sender addresses:

  1. Add the email address you want to send from.
  2. waveMail loads your verified addresses so they're ready to select on campaigns.
  3. When building a campaign, the From email field only offers verified addresses.
Status Meaning
Verified The address (and its DNS records) are confirmed and ready to send.
Pending Verification is in progress — check back shortly.
No longer verified A previously verified address needs re-verification before it can be used again.

Sending Quotas

Each account has a sending allowance based on your plan. Your quota resets at the start of every billing cycle, and your dashboard shows how much you've used. If you regularly approach your limit, see Subscriptions & Billing to review your plan.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to check
Verification won't complete Confirm the DNS records were entered exactly, with no extra spaces, and allow time to propagate.
My From address isn't selectable The address must be verified and belong to a verified domain.
Address shows "no longer verified" DNS may have changed at your provider — re-add the records and verify again.
