WooCommerce Integration
Sync your WooCommerce customers to waveMail automatically — from new orders, order status changes, and abandoned checkouts. WooCommerce support is part of the same waveConnect plugin for WordPress.
What You'll Need
- A WordPress site (version 5.6 or later, PHP 7.4+) with WooCommerce installed and active.
- An active waveMail account at app.wavemail.com.au.
- Administrator access to your WordPress dashboard.
Step 1 — Install & Connect
WooCommerce uses the same waveConnect plugin as WordPress. If you haven't installed it yet, follow the WordPress guide to upload wavemail-connect.zip, activate it, and connect your waveMail account from waveConnect → Setup Account. The connection is authorised securely through waveMail — no API keys to copy.
Step 2 — Create a WooCommerce Integration
- Go to waveConnect → Add New.
- Choose a WooCommerce trigger:
- All New Orders
- Order Processing
- Order Completed
- Order Cancelled / Failed
- Checkout Abandoned — re-engage shoppers who didn't finish.
- Select the waveMail list the customer should join.
- Map the fields — match order and billing data (name, email, phone, billing details) to your waveMail list fields.
- Optionally add conditional logic — for example, only orders over a certain value.
- Click Save. The integration is now live.
Step 3 — Test It
- Place a test order on your store.
- Check the matching waveMail list to confirm the customer appears.
- Use waveConnect → Debug to review the API log and resend any failed requests.
Optional — Sync Existing Customers
Go to waveConnect → Sync Users to bulk-sync existing WooCommerce customers to a waveMail list, filtered by role and date range. The sync runs in the background with a live progress indicator.
Tip: You can mix WooCommerce and WordPress triggers in the same site and route each to a different list — for example, buyers to a customers list and form leads to a prospects list.
